Bran Muffins

Bran Muffins....haven't tried these yet but they look terrific. Of course, I just might add some nuts...maybe instead of the raisens.

Makes 12 muffins:

1 ½ cups wheat bran
1 cup flour
1 teasp baking powder
1 teasp soda
¼ teasp salt
2/3 cup brown splenda
½ cup raisins
½ cup craisins
2 tbsp flax seed--
Stir together in bowl and set asideIN ANOTHER BOWL—
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup canola oil
1 egg
1 teasp vanilla
½ cup applesauce
½ cup grated carrots
½ cup crushed pineapple
STIR BOTH MIXTURES TOGETHER WITH A WOODEN SPOON. DROP MIXTURE WITH ICE CREAM SCOOP INTO MUFFIN PAPER IN MUFFIN TIN. BAKE AT 375 DEGREES FOR 12 TO 15 MINUTES.
