1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups boiling water
2 eggs
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together the vanilla, butter, and sugar.
Add the boiling water, blend, then add the eggs and mix until well blended. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into an ungreased 9x13 pan and bake for 30 min at 350 degrees.
I like this cake with a cream cheese frosting.
